This Privacy Policy explains how Tivvy ("Tivvy", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Tivvy mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account and using Tivvy, you agree to this Policy.

Tivvy is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Account details: email address and password (handled securely by Firebase Authentication).
Profile details: name, username, date of birth, gender, who you want to meet, interests, bio, and city/location you select.
Photos: your profile photo and any gallery or post photos you upload.
Content you create: posts, events, comments, chat messages, and your activity in games.

Information generated through use

Activity: swipes (likes/passes), matches, event join requests, likes and comments, and game participation.
Presence: your "last active" time, so matches can see when you were last online.
Safety signals: reports you file and users you block.
Technical data: basic device and log information needed to operate the service and keep it secure.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and profile.
To show you potential matches and let you connect, chat, and play with others.
To display your profile, posts, and content to other users as part of the service.
To send in-app notifications (matches, likes, comments, messages, game invites).
To keep Tivvy safe — detecting abuse, reviewing reports, and enforcing our Terms.
To verify that users meet the 18+ age requirement.

3. How Information Is Shared

Tivvy is a social app, so some information is shared by design:

With other users: your profile (name, username, age, photos, bio, interests, city), your posts and comments, and your "last active" status are visible to other users. Messages are shared with the people in that chat.
Anonymous features: in Random Chat, your name and photo are hidden from the other person until you both match.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the App:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage) — stores your account, profile, content, and photos. See Google's Privacy and Security in Firebase.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated personal data. Some content may persist where it is part of another user's experience (for example, messages already delivered to someone you chatted with) or where we are required to retain it for legal or safety reasons.

5. Security

Authentication and data are handled through Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to data is governed by security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your information directly in the App (Edit Profile), delete your account in Settings, or contact us using the details below.

7. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our providers (such as Google Firebase) in locations outside your country. By using Tivvy, you consent to such transfers.

8. Children

Tivvy is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
